Illinois Sports Court Installation & Resurfacing

Tennis Courts, Pickleball Courts & Running Tracks

Serving Illinois

AG Sports Surfaces builds and resurfaces sports courts across Illinois. Tennis courts, pickleball courts, running tracks, basketball courts. We work with homeowners, schools, HOAs, and municipalities to design and install surfaces that actually hold up to Midwest conditions. Our service area covers the entire state, from the Chicago suburbs down to the southern tip.

You already know Illinois weather doesn’t do your outdoor surfaces any favors. Freeze-thaw cycles that crack concrete, summer humidity that affects acrylic curing, spring rains that can delay projects for weeks. We’ve built courts all over the Midwest, including Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, and we plan around these issues before ground breaks.

Homeowners

Backyard courts aren’t just for people with estates anymore. A residential pickleball court installation runs way cheaper than most people expect, and a well-built tennis court adds real value to your property. We handle everything from site prep to final striping, and we match the court design to your yard and budget.

Homeowners Associations

Community courts see a lot of use, which means they take a beating. We build shared amenities that handle heavy traffic without needing constant maintenance. Proper drainage, the right surface materials, and clean line striping that stays visible for years. When surfaces start showing wear, our tennis court resurfacing and pickleball court resurfacing services bring them back to like-new condition.

Parks and Recreation Departments

Public courts need to survive everything from daily pickup games to weekend tournaments to Illinois winters. We’ve worked with park districts across the Midwest, and we build surfaces that can handle the volume without falling apart after a few seasons. New construction or resurfacing, we help expand your recreational offerings with courts that last. We also handle running track installation and track repair for public facilities.

Schools and Universities

Athletic programs need surfaces that perform consistently and safely. Running tracks, basketball courts, tennis facilities, and gym floors. We work with K-12 schools and universities to meet facility standards and give student athletes the environment they need to compete. Our team understands the procurement process and works within your timelines and budget constraints.

What We Build

We construct and resurface courts for tennis, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, and multi-sport use. We also install and repair running tracks. Materials include post-tension concrete, asphalt, and cushioned acrylic surfacing, all selected based on your specific needs, traffic levels, and maintenance goals. For facilities looking at newer sports, we also build padel courts.

Why Work With Us

Most court contractors will give you a quote and show up when they show up. We manage the entire process from site evaluation through final surfacing, and we keep you informed at every step. No surprises on price, no guessing when we’ll finish. Learn more about us and how we approach every project.

Our team has built tennis courts, pickleball courts, running tracks, and basketball courts across the Midwest, and we bring that experience to every project regardless of size. We focus on quality materials and proper installation because that’s what determines whether your court lasts 10 years or 20. You’re making a real investment, and we treat it that way.

Building Courts in Illinois

Illinois presents specific challenges that out-of-state contractors often underestimate. The clay-heavy soils in much of northern and central Illinois expand and contract with moisture changes, which can crack poorly prepared bases within a few years. We design drainage and sub-base systems specifically for these soil conditions.

Permitting varies significantly across Illinois municipalities. Chicago and its suburbs have their own requirements, downstate communities often have different setback and drainage rules, and some areas require engineering certifications for anything over a certain square footage. We handle the permit process and know which jurisdictions require what documentation before work begins.

The construction window in Illinois is shorter than people realize. Acrylic surfaces need specific temperature ranges to cure properly, and you can’t pour concrete when the ground is frozen. That means most outdoor court projects need to happen between late April and early October. We schedule accordingly and don’t rush installations when conditions aren’t right.

For schools and municipalities, we understand Illinois procurement requirements and can work within public bidding processes. We’ve completed projects for park districts, school boards, and municipal recreation departments throughout the state.
