You already know what a bad court looks like. Cracks spreading every spring. Water pooling after every rain. Lines so faded you’re guessing where the boundaries are. Most of that comes down to how the court was built in the first place.

We’ve been building and resurfacing courts in the Bloomington-Normal area for over 20 years. Tennis, pickleball, basketball. Backyards, schools, parks, HOA facilities. The freeze-thaw cycles here are hard on outdoor surfaces, so we build with that in mind. Proper base prep, the right materials, and no shortcuts. That’s basically the whole formula.

A tennis court is a 20-year investment if it’s built right. Longer, if you stay on top of maintenance. We’ve built courts that are still playing well after 25 years because the foundation was done correctly from day one.

We handle everything from the dirt up. Site grading, drainage, stone base, asphalt or post-tension concrete, acrylic surfacing, fencing, nets. You pick the colors. We make sure the court drains properly, plays true, and doesn’t crack after two winters.

Most problems with tennis courts start underground. Bad drainage, rushed base work, or the wrong materials for the climate. We’ve seen plenty of courts around Bloomington that looked great for a year and then fell apart. Ours don’t. That’s the difference between hiring someone who knows the trade and hiring the lowest bid.

If your court has cracks, fading, or puddles that won’t drain, resurfacing can fix most of it. We fill the cracks, level the low spots, and put down fresh acrylic. New lines, new color if you want it. The surface plays smooth again and you get another 8 to 10 years out of it.

Some courts are too far gone and need a full rebuild. We’ll tell you straight up if that’s the case. No point resurfacing a court with major structural problems.

Pickleball took off fast in Bloomington. Parks are adding courts, HOAs are converting old tennis courts, homeowners are putting them in backyards. The courts are smaller than tennis, but the construction standards are basically the same. Cut corners and you’ll have problems.

We build pickleball courts to USAPA specs. Proper dimensions, correct net height, surface texture that gives you good grip without being too aggressive on the knees. Single courts, multi-court facilities, or conversions from existing tennis courts.

One tennis court can fit four pickleball courts if the layout is done right. That’s a lot more playing time for the same footprint. We handle the whole conversion: new surfacing, new lines, new net systems. Way cheaper than building from scratch if you’ve already got a tennis court that’s not getting used.

Pickleball courts take a beating. Smaller court, more concentrated foot traffic. If your surface is cracking, slick, or the lines are hard to see, resurfacing brings it back. We repair the damage, put down fresh coatings, and re-stripe the lines crisp and accurate.

Basketball courts get more abuse than tennis or pickleball. More foot traffic, ball impact, and usually more players on the surface at once. We build them to handle it. Good base, proper drainage, durable surfacing, and coatings that hold up to the wear.

Full courts, half courts, driveway setups. We can add multi-sport lines if you want pickleball on the same surface. School colors, custom logos, whatever you’re after. The court gets built to fit your space and your budget.
